Community
At Environmental Solutions Waste Management we’re extremely passionate about supporting our local communities and charities. We work closely with our customers to channel any revenue stream created from bi-products of our recycling back into worthy causes. And we dedicate 52 days every year for our staff members to work with local charities.
Our Director, Gareth Ward, has been a Trustee of The Education Business Partnership West Berkshire since 2014, becoming Deputy Chairman of the Board in 2017.
The Education Business Partnership promotes and organises a wide range of innovative, work-related learning activities for young people in education. By building partnerships between local businesses, teachers and students, they create and deliver work-related opportunities for young people, cultivating skills, giving valuable insights into the world of work and inspiring them for their future.
Sitting on the board, Gareth plays an active role in the charity’s continued success with young people in the area as well as directly funding projects such as Well-being Warriors.
We also support the Flying Seagull Project, which is a charity dedicated to bringing smiles and happiness to disadvantaged children, the elderly and adults with difficulties, across the world. Operated by an enthusiastic group of actors, artists and musicians, all passionate about making a difference, the project is based on a concept of fun therapy. Through workshops and shows, the Flying Seagull Project helps childhood development, helps to improve emotional wellbeing and offers support through entertainment and involvement.
